The evil eye, also known as ‘Al-ayn’ in Arabic, is an undesirable thing that causes harm to the other person due to jealousy or envy towards him. Our Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said the evil eye is real (Hadith source – Sunan Ibn Majah 3506).
