Rabbana Taqabbal Minna Full Dua Meaning in English

So what did we learn from this?

After every good deed we perform, the very first thing that needs to be done is to pray to Allah (SWT) to accept it from us. Just recite Rabbana Taqabbal Minna Innaka Antas Samee’ul Aleem.

We often see people become happy assuming that they’ve done a good deed and it is instantly accepted by Allah (SWT). And when they don’t see things going smoothly as expected, they become upset and start thinking “why is this happening to me even though I’ve done great good deeds“.

The believer shall not express pride after performing a good deed. Instead, he/she must be thankful to Allah (SWT) for the opportunity He has granted.

Here’s a saying from Mufti Menk:

Don’t feel proud when you’ve done a good deed. It happened because the Almighty allowed it & guided you to it. Don’t brag about it and waste all the good you’ve earned. Remember, if it weren’t for Him, none of it would have happened. – Mufti Menk.

What are the good deeds you have done today?

Did you make someone smile? Did you help someone cross the road? Did you feed the poor and needy? Did you visit the sick person? Did you pray in the congregation in the mosque and recited the Holy Qur’an? Did you fast? Did you perform Dhikr (remembering Allah (SWT))? Did you give Sadaqah? Did you spend time with your parents? Did you plant a tree? And the list goes on …

Whatever good deeds we perform on a regular basis are to please Allah (SWT) and gain His mercy. We must be thankful to Allah (SWT) for guiding us to perform that deed and pray to Allah to accept it from us.

Rabbana Taqabbal Minna Innaka Antas Samee’ul Aleem is a beautiful Dua for acceptance of good deeds. Be sure to recite this Dua on a regular basis.
