Inna Lillahi Wa Inna ilayhi Raji’un Meaning in English
So what does this Dua mean in English? Many people have been asking for it! So basically, it means…
Verily, to Allah we belong and verily, to Him we shall return.
You know this meaning, right? Surely you do! But let’s get deeper into the meaning.
Everything that you own in your life, or have around you, belongs to Allah (SWT) alone. The property, cars, money, beauty, blessings, and the status that you have, belongs to Allah (SWT).
He can give you whenever He wants to and can take you back whenever He wants.
Every soul will taste death. And We test you ˹O humanity˺ with good and evil as a trial, then to Us you will ˹all˺ be returned. [21:35] –
So now, as He is the creator and owner of Everything, He can test anyone, anytime by giving the things the person loves and taking them back. This is where the Muslim needs to have patience. Indeed, Allah loves the one who keeps patience.
